Gemini General Description

The Gemini Controller is an integral part of the Terminator T2™ Emergency Chlorine/ SO2 Shutoff System. The Gemini controller provides closing logic and power to either one or two Terminator T2 actuators, to allow the safe, rapid closing of standard chlorine and SO2 150 lb/ 68kg cylinder and ton container valves. A contact closure input allows any number of devices to be connected to the Gemini to initiate an emergency close/shutoff activation. Outputs from leak detectors, remote panic switches or signals from a PLC/SCADA system can be connected to this input in parallel (normally open circuit) or in series (normally closed circuit) to instantly activate an emergency close of all connected valves. The Gemini / Terminator T2 system will typically close each connected valve within one second, for almost instantaneous shutoff of the gas supply during an emergency.
